There are so many wonderful holiday activities & attractions for Vancouver families this time of year!

We have rounded up some of our absolute favourites in our annual Vancouver Holiday Events Guide below, and we’re also giving away Family Passes to these events in our  2017 Healthy Family Expo Facebook Event  from November 21st to 25th 2016.

Enchant is the world’s largest Christmas Light Maze, made up of over 55,000 sq. ft. of brilliantly illuminated sculptures arranged to create the perfect atmosphere for an evening adventure. Along with the maze, Enchant features a market with over 40 local vendors, 12 food trucks and a licensed eating area where guests can enjoy their favourite holiday drink.

The Bright Nights Train in Stanley Park, brought to you by Vancouver Park Board, enchants visitors annually with over three million twinkling lights, breathtaking displays and live performers along the train route. A must-see Vancouver holiday tradition, your donations and a portion of ticket sales go to the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund. $1.4 million has been raised to help burn survivors and their families since 1998.

Make It is back at the PNE Forum for all your holiday shopping needs! You will find over 265 super awesome makers, crafters and artists from all over Canada. Experience VanDusen Festival of Lights, a magical winter wonderland with over one million lights decorating VanDusen Botanical Garden.

This year they’ve expanded the show to include a new carousel and all entry tickets include a free ride!

Festively decorated Trolleys equipped with karaoke machines for your seasonal singing enjoyment will depart from Canada Place. Upon pickup, guests will sing their way past the city lights of downtown before arriving at Bright Nights at Stanley Park.  After being given some time to walk through the light display and take in Stanley Park’s holiday magic (sorry no time for the Christmas Train), the tour will continue through local light displays on the way to the second stop of the evening, at Van Dusen Botanical Garden’s Festival of Lights. A donation to the Burn Fund is included in each ticket.

The festivities begin at 10:00am with two hours of family entertainment at the Coast Capital Savings Christmas Square on 800 block of Robson Street, between Howe and Hornby (behind the Vancouver Art Gallery). Christmas Square includes the Food Bank drop-off zone, gingerbread decorating station, face painting, Letters to Santa station, balloon twisting, and an entertainment stage featuring several music and dance performances. After the parade is done, Santa will head to Robson Square Ice Rink! Bring the kids down to have their picture taken with Santa Claus and enjoy some free ice skating. The Parade is one of the largest food and fund raising events for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society.

  3. My favourite part about enchant would be the light maze! The world’s largest light maze in fact! That will be amazing to see! And not to mention the hot cider at the market is delicious on cold winter nights!

  4. I haven’t been to Enchant yet but I would LOVE to take my family. My 9 year old and 2 year old daughters would absolutely love it!!

  5. Favourite thing about ENCHANT is it is a magical way for the whole family to enjoy the lights and the celebrating of this Christmas season. Can’t wait to bring our new baby girl for her 1st Christmas to see all the lights.

  6. I LOVE Christmas, just everything about it, as well as my kids (which are 13 & 16). My partner on the other hand, is a complete GRINCH! Enchant looks ABSOLUTELY beautiful, and the best thing about it is the maze, with the lights and most likely getting lost in the moment. THANK YOU for Enchant for this amazing Christmas Venue.
