Suitable Ages: 7-12 and 13- 17

Location: North Vancouver

Why They’re Awesome: Well Fed is excited to bring back their very popular Summer Kids Cooking Camp. A whole line up of fantastic new recipes await…menu coming soon! Spaces fill up quickly so book early. Well Fed’s goal is to get kids cooking from scratch – something they consider to be an essential life skill. At their studio they teach hands on technical skills in the kitchen from qualified instructors in a safe & fun environment. Each Day of camp focuses on a new skill and adventure in the kitchen, and all of the food prepared in the class will be eaten for lunch that day. No need to pack a lunch! Class sizes are small, and camps run 5 days from 9 am – 1 pm.

Why They’re Awesome: Bricks 4 Kidz® camps are a fresh and fun camp for kids ages 5-12+ to spend! Guided by our experienced teachers and built around exciting themes like Amusement Parks, Space and Robotics, children will enjoy using LEGO® Bricks to build specially-designed Bricks 4 Kidz models, play LEGO® games and explore the world of engineering, architecture and animated movie-making. Using specialized LEGO® Technic pieces such as gears, axles, and electric motors, children work in pairs to construct a variety of Bricks 4 Kidz models, as well as build creations of their own. Kids will have fun flexing their STEM muscles!

Suitable Ages: 5-17

Locations: Vancouver, Surrey, White Rock, Burnaby, Chilliwack, Coquitlam, Langley, Richmond, Gibsons (Sunshine Coast)

Why They’re Awesome: YMCA Camps help kids build confidence, leadership skills and environmental awareness through its wide range of day and overnight camps. Also, the YMCA runs several speciality camps which focus on a variety of interests including golf, outdoor adventure and leadership development. It’s day camps are offered at 18 locations throughout the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley and Sunshine Coast, and its overnight camps take place at YMCA Camp Elphinstone located on the Sunshine Coast.

Why They’re Awesome: BrainSTEM Learning Canada offers fantastic options for summer camp, where the kids have a lot of fun and learn about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Through fun camp activities using rockets, roller-coasters & robots, kids always use their creativity, curiosity, and learning concepts to face amusing challenges. Using team work and the engineering design process, kids have a blast building, testing and improving their projects! Each week long camp covers a different theme to keep young minds engaged.

Location: North Vancouver & Coquitlam

Why They’re Awesome:  Climb Base5 is a family-friendly climbing gym with locations in Coquitlam and North Vancouver! From new climbers to advanced, they have  their awesome climbing camps. Program covers the basics of setting up and managing climbing safety systems, and provide instruction and coaching on the basics of climbing movement. Each day’s lesson features fun games and activities that help anchor new skills. Coaches will inspire and challenge campers to reach their full potential and climb with confidence!

Location: South Surrey

Why They’re Awesome: We Play Kids is western Canada’s only mixed use indoor play place & pediatric therapy Centre. Kids will have a blast in the sensory gym play space! Throughout the day our Camp Leaders will host a variety of multi-sensory active and quiet play activities. Each day includes a sensory-based craft. Teamwork, inclusivity and fun are a primary focus at We Play! They offer 1/2 day and full day camps, as well as multi-day and full week registration.

Suitable Ages: 8 – 15

Location: North Vancouver

Why They’re Awesome: Made By Me Sewing Camps are designed for sewers of all skill levels ages 8 and up. Kids will learn hand and machine sewing techniques while making a variety of fun projects. Camps are limited to a maximum of 8 children per session so each student receives plenty of individual attention. They have morning, afternoon and full-day sessions available as well as some one-day workshops to suit your summer schedule.

  1. My son would love PedalHeads! My daughter went last year and not only learned to ride, but loved the camp so much. My son now wants to learn to ride at PedalHeads as well!

  2. Either Evolve or YMCA!! I entered your contest last year as well, thanks for hosting such an amazing prize!! I would absolutely love to enter for my oldest son as he’s going into grade six and could really benefit from some positive team building and role models at ymca or with evolve be proud of himself learning a new skill.   7. My kids are super active and would love the Evolve skateboard camp. They’ve never done anything like that before!

  8. Such fabulous camps! My son has been begging me to sign him up for an Academie Duello camp for years. He wants to learn how to use a sword! Unfortunately the location isn’t too convenient. I know he’d love to do the Skateboard camp with Evolve, too, though.

  9. My oldest son would love to do the Climb Base5 camp. He loves rock climbing, and would love to learn more to challenge himself.

  10. My older son really wants to learn skills and feel more confident on a skate board-so for him I think he would enjoy Evolve skateboard & scooter camp! My younger son is eager to goto Pedal Heads camp to learn to ride a pedal bike so he can keep up with his older bro:) both camps are offered in my city which is fantastic!

    My older son really wants to learn to skateboard and said the Evolve skateboard and scooter camp sounds “Super cool!” And my younger son would really benefit from having someone else to teach him how to ride a pedal bike so Pedalheads camp he would enjoy most! Both in North Vancouver where we live:) thank you for hosting such an awesome cam

  12. My granddaughter who is turning 9 this month would absolutely love to go to the YMCA summer camp in Chilliwack! What an amazing experience this would be for her!

  13. My son would enjoy the Pedalheads camp. He attended this camp last year and went from not being able to pedal, to pedaling without training wheels, all within a week. He would love to attend again to continue working on his biking skills.

  14. My kid is currently on a strider and I know she’s ready for a big kid bike. I’m really hoping pedal head camps will help her to progress easily

  15. My six year old is still riding a bike with training wheels and I’ve heard amazing things about pedalheads! Would love to see him be more confident on his bike.

  16. My daughter is so excited to try her first pedalheads bike camp this summer. But she would probably love their scooter camp as well!

  18. My son would love the BrainStem camp. He’s very curious, loves to build and enjoys Math and Science. It would be perfect for him!

  19. Kiddo would love BRICKS 4 KIDZ, BRAINSTEM or PEDALHEADS camps all are close to us. He’s super into building with Lego, all STEAM activities and needs to improve his cycling skills 🙂

  20. My preschooler would love Pedalheads. She’s already swimming and I would love to have her learn how to ride a bike!

  21. My oldest would most enjoy a Made By Me Sewing Camp because she has been begging me to learn how to sew! My youngest would most love a Pedalheads camp because she needs more confidence and skill on her bike so that she can ride with her big sister and the neighbourhood kids. I really hope to send her to a Pedalheads camp this summer!

  22. My daughter would love to go to the pedalheads bike camp. Trying to get her to ride without training wheels has been difficult so I think this would really help her.

  24. DD would LOVE to attend the Climb Base 5 camp. She has wanted to take some rock climbing lessons for awhile now.
